These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the supply of products and services by Clearglaze Midlands Ltd, including the survey, supply and installation of windows, doors, conservatories and related glazing products.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

Quotations, Surveys and Orders
3.1 Quotations
Any quotation provided by Clearglaze Midlands Ltd is based on the information available at the time, including details provided by the customer and, where applicable, measurements or observations taken during an initial visit.
Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation. If no validity period is shown, the quotation will be valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
A quotation does not form a binding contract until it has been accepted by the customer and confirmed by Clearglaze Midlands Ltd.
3.2 Surveys and Measurements
Where products are made to measure, a survey may be required before manufacturing or installation. Measurements, specifications and installation requirements will be confirmed as part of this process.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any relevant information is made available before the order is confirmed, including known structural issues, access restrictions, planning requirements, conservation restrictions, listed building status, leasehold requirements or any other factor that may affect the work.
3.3 Order Acceptance
An order is accepted once Clearglaze Midlands Ltd confirms acceptance in writing, receives any required deposit, and confirms the agreed scope of work.
Once an order has been accepted, products may be ordered, manufactured or allocated specifically for your property. As many window, door and conservatory products are made to measure or bespoke, cancellation rights may be limited once production, ordering or manufacturing has begun.

The exact products, specifications, colours, styles, glazing options, hardware and accessories included in your order will be set out in your quotation or order confirmation.
4.2 Product Descriptions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, brochures, samples and website information are accurate. However, images and samples are provided for general guidance only. Colours, finishes and appearances may vary slightly due to lighting, screen settings, manufacturing tolerances or supplier changes.
Where exact colour matching is important, this must be raised before the order is confirmed.
4.3 Suitability
We will use reasonable care and skill when recommending, supplying and installing products. However, the customer remains responsible for ensuring that any chosen style, colour, design or optional feature meets their personal preferences and any external requirements such as planning, leasehold, landlord or management company permissions.
Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
Providing accurate information before the quotation and survey are completed.
Ensuring access is available on agreed survey and installation dates.
Removing fragile, valuable or obstructive items from the work area before installation.
Ensuring children, pets and vulnerable persons are kept safely away from the work area.
Informing us of any known structural defects, damp, asbestos, electrical wiring, pipework, alarm sensors or other risks near the installation area.
Obtaining any necessary planning permission, listed building consent, landlord consent, leaseholder consent or management company approval unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Ensuring there is suitable parking, access and working space for installers.
Checking the order confirmation carefully and raising any concerns before the order proceeds.
Clearglaze Midlands Ltd will not be responsible for delays, additional costs or issues arising from inaccurate information, restricted access or permissions not being obtained by the customer.
Deposits and Payment
6.1 Deposits
A deposit may be required before an order is confirmed. The deposit amount will be set out in the quotation or order confirmation.
Where products are made to measure, bespoke, specially ordered or manufactured specifically for your property, the deposit may become non-refundable once materials have been ordered, manufacturing has begun, or costs have been incurred.
6.2 Stage Payments and Final Payment
Payment terms will be set out in your quotation or order confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due on completion of the installation.
Where work is completed in stages, stage payments may be required.
6.3 Late Payment
Clearglaze Midlands Ltd reserves the right to charge reasonable administration costs, interest or recovery costs for overdue payments where permitted by law.
Ownership of supplied goods remains with Clearglaze Midlands Ltd until payment has been received in full, although risk in the products may pass to the customer once installed or delivered to the property.
Cancellations and Changes
7.1 Customer Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order, you must notify Clearglaze Midlands Ltd as soon as possible in writing.
Where an order includes made-to-measure, bespoke or specially ordered products, cancellation may not be possible once the order has been processed, materials have been ordered, or manufacturing has started.
Where cancellation is accepted, Clearglaze Midlands Ltd may deduct any reasonable costs already incurred, including survey costs, administration, supplier charges, manufacturing costs, restocking charges or other committed expenses.
7.2 Changes to Orders
Any requested change to product specification, colour, design, glass type, hardware, installation date or scope of work must be made in writing.
Changes may affect price, lead time and installation dates. Clearglaze Midlands Ltd is not obliged to accept changes once products have been ordered or manufacturing has begun.
7.3 No Distance Sales
Clearglaze Midlands Ltd does not operate as a distance-selling business for standard online product sales. Our work is provided as a local survey, supply and installation service.
Where a contract is entered into away from our business premises, such as during a home visit, any statutory cancellation rights that apply will be explained as required. However, many products supplied by Clearglaze Midlands Ltd are made to measure or bespoke to the customer’s property, meaning cancellation rights may be limited once the customer has given approval for the order to proceed.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
Installation
8.1 Installation Dates
We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed installation dates. However, dates may be affected by supplier lead times, weather, access issues, manufacturing delays, staff availability, vehicle issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Clearglaze Midlands Ltd is not liable for losses arising from reasonable delays, but we will keep customers informed where delays occur.
8.2 Site Conditions
Installation work is dependent on suitable site conditions. If unexpected issues are discovered, such as structural defects, rotten timber, hidden pipework, wiring, asbestos, damp, unsafe openings or previous poor workmanship, additional work or cost may be required.
Where additional work is required, we will explain the issue and agree the next steps with the customer before proceeding where reasonably possible.
8.3 Making Good
Unless expressly included in the quotation, installation does not include redecoration, plastering, rendering, flooring, tiling, alarm reconfiguration, blind refitting or other finishing works beyond the agreed installation and standard making good.
We will take reasonable care during installation, but some minor disturbance to plaster, render, paintwork or surrounding finishes can occur, particularly where existing units are old, damaged or difficult to remove.
CERTASS Registration and Building Regulations
Clearglaze Midlands Ltd is CERTASS registered. Where applicable, qualifying replacement window and door installations will be registered through CERTASS under the relevant Competent Person Scheme.
Where a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate is required and applicable to the work carried out, this will be arranged through CERTASS following completion and registration of the installation.
Customers should keep any Building Regulations Compliance Certificate safely, as it may be required if the property is sold or remortgaged.
CERTASS registration does not replace the customer’s responsibility to obtain planning permission, listed building consent, conservation area approval, landlord consent, leaseholder consent or any other permission that may be required for the property.

Customers must allow Clearglaze Midlands Ltd a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and, where appropriate, carry out remedial work.
Where a problem is found to be caused by our workmanship or a covered product defect, we will take reasonable steps to put the issue right.
Where an issue is found to be outside the warranty, outside manufacturer guarantee terms, or caused by factors beyond our control, a charge may apply for inspection, parts or remedial work.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Goods supplied must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where that purpose has been made known and agreed.
If there is a genuine issue with the goods or services supplied, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, repeat performance, price reduction or other remedy depending on the circumstances.
